Home-made crunchie ice cream
With Christmas fast approaching and with indulgence and over-eating very much part of the holiday, I made one of my favourite desserts — Crunchie Ice Cream. This is a bit of an off-topic post!
It’s a very simple recipe and only takes a few minutes to knock up and the end result is delicious.
Ingredients
- 600ml double cream
- ~350ml condensed milk (a whole tin)
- 6 Cadbury Crunchie Bars
- 2tsp of vanilla extract
Method
-
Chop up the Crunchie bars into small pieces. While doing this, keep hold of as much of the “dust” as possible.
-
Whip the double cream until it is the thickness of a thickish custard.
-
Fold in the condensed milk.
-
Add the chopped up Crunchie bars.
-
Place the contents in a container and place in the freezer until frozen hard.
-
Enjoy.
